ANDHRA STYLE CORIANDER CHUTNEY

ABOUT RECIPE

Today I am presenting andhra style spicy, tangy and delicious coriander chutney, which is our family’s favorite chutney. In andhra people like to eat spicy food so this chutney is also very spicy but you can reduce chilly according to your taste. You can keep this chutney for 2-3 days in freeze. Try this yummy chutney and share your feedback.

INGREDIENTS

Coriander leaves – 2 cup

Green chilly – 5 -6

Jeera/cumin seeds – 1 tsp

Tamarind – 1 lemon size

Garlic – 2 (optional)

Oil – 1 tsp

Salt – as per taste

Water – 2 tbsp OR as require

METHOD

These are the ingredients for making chutney.

Rinse coriander leaves and chop them roughly.

Rinse green chilly, remove stem and give a slight cut with the knife.

Heat oil in a kadai, add green chillies to the oil. Stir and saute them till they turn ½ white in medium flame.add jeera/cumin seeds,stir for a second.

Add coriander leaves , tamarind and switch off the flame. Stir and lets cook coriander leaves and tamarind in less heated oil (we do not have to cook coriander leaves much otherwise it will change the taste).Wait for 2 mins ,After 2 mins place kadai mixture in a blander, add tamarind,garlic,salt and water. Grind this mixture to the fine paste.

Now our chutney is ready. serve it with curd-rice, dal- rice
