HOW TO MAKE MUTTON CURRY / MUTTON CURRY RECIPE

This mutton curry I made in pressure cooker. You can also make this curry in handi but that will take longer time to cook. For good mutton curry buy good quality mutton. Try this mutton curry and share your feedback.

Type – main course
Cuisine – north indian
Mutton – 750 g (cleaned and cut into curry pieces)
Onion – 1 finely chopped
Bey leaf – 1 to 2
Clove – 3 to 4
Green cardamon – 2 to 3
Black cardamon – 3
Cinemon stick – 1 inch
Curd – ¼ cup
Red chilly pwdr – 1 tsp
Turmeric – 1 tsp
Coriander pwdr – 1 tbsp
Garam masala – 1 tsp
Salt – as per taste
Oil – ½ cup
For 1st grinding
Onion- 4 medium (cut into big pieces)
Garlic – 8 to 10
Ginger – 1 inch
Jeera/cumin seeds – 1 tsp
Dry coriander seeds – 2 tbsp
For 2nd grinding
Tomato – 1 medium
Green chilly – 1
Coriander leaves – 2 tbsp
In a big blander take ingredient under (for 1st grinding) and grind into a fine paste.
In a small blander take ingredient under (for 2nd grinding) and grind into a fine paste. Keep them a side.
In a big cooker heat oil put bay leaf, cinemon stick, green cardamon, clove and black cardamon, stir and let them crackle.
Now add chopped onion, fry the onion till it turn light brown. Then add red chilly,turmeric and coriander powder, fry for a minute.
Then add 1st grinded paste, stir and fry this paste till its leave oil from the corner. Then add 2nd grinded paste, fry for 2 mins.
Then add the mutton pieces, stir, and fry the mutton for 5 to 7 mins in medium flame. Now add salt, curd and garam masala,stir. Cover with the lid and cook mutton for 5 mins, in low flame.
After 5 mins add a cup of water to the mutton and close the cooker.
After 1 whistle keep the cooker in simmer for 15 to 20 mins or cook till mutton gets cook.
Your mutton curry is ready serve hot with chapati,naan,paratha or rice.
In a blander onion, garlic, ginger, cumin and coriander seeds
Grind it into paste
In small blander take tomato,green chilly and coriander leaves
Grind into paste
Heat oil add bay leaf,green cardamon,black cardamon and cinemon stick
Add chopped onion and fry
Add red chilly,turmeric and dry coriander pwdr,fry
Add 1st grinded paste and fry till oil saperates
Add 2nd grined paste and fry for 2 mins
Add mutton , stir and saute for 5 mins
Add curd and garam masala, mix well
Cover with lid and cook for 5 mins
Add a cup of water
Close the cooker and after 1 whistle keep cooker for 15 – 20 mins in low flame or cook till mutton gets cook
Mutton is ready, serve hot .
