Easy Chicken Tangri Kabab (Tava and Airfryer Recipe)
I like to make new dishes in airfryer, since it is less fatty comparing to fried one and juicy. But you can make this recipe in thick tava too. I am sharing both the methods. If you want you can add color too but me i like my dishes in natural color. Try this recipe and let me know how it came out for you.
Pre time – 15 mins
Cook time – 30 mins
Marination time – 30 mins
Chicken (drumsticks) – 6 (slit cut with the knife)
Roasted besan OR roasted gram flour – 2 tbsp
Hung curd/thick yogurt – 4 – 5 tbsp
Lemon juice – 2 tsp
Ginger-garlic paste – 2 tsp
Carom/ ajwain seeds – 1 tsp
Tandoori chicken masala – 1 tbsp (home made)
Red chilli pwdr – 1 tsp
Mint leaves – 6 -7 (chopped)
Fresh cream – 2 tbsp
Mustard oil OR cooking oil – 1 tbsp
Chaat masala – ¼ tsp (for garnishing)
Take chicken drumsticks in a big bowl, top of that put all ingredients except chaat masala.
Mix them well, keep these marinated chicken drumsticks in refrigerator for ½ hour.
After ½ hour pre heat the airfryer in 180′ temperature for 5 mins.
Now place 3 chicken drumsticks in the airfryer tray, push this tray inside the airfryer. Ensure
lid is closed properly.
Now set the airfryer in 180′ temperature for 15 mins.
After 15 mins open the lid and take out the baking tray, your chicken tangri kabab is ready.
Sprinkle chaat masala to it and serve hot with green chutney or tomato sauce.
Heat tava and put 1 tbsp oil, place chicken drumsticks. Cover the chicken for 2 -3 mins with the
lid and keep the flame low to medium.
After 2 mins open the lid, turn the chicken, cook chicken in tava till it gets cook and smoky
(keep turning occasionally). If needed add some more oil.
cook till chicken get soft.
mix all the ingredients with chicken except chaat masala
keep it for 1/2 hour in refrigerator
put it in preheated airfryer for 15 mins , 180′
after 15 mins, sprinkle chaat masala
