Yummy Red Sauce Penne Pasta

Yummy red sauce penne pasta is so easy and simple which you can make any time for breakfast, dinner or after school for your kids. I am sure they will love it.

Measuring cup used 1 cup = 220 ml
For Boiling pasta
Wheat penne pasta or any other pasta – 2 cups
Water – as needed
Onion – 2 medium (finely chopped)
Garlic clove (big) – 4-5 sliced
Tomato – 500 g to 600 g ( boil, peel and make puree or buy puree from market)
Tomato ketchup – 2-3 tbsp
Black pepper powder – ¼ tsp
Oregano – 1 tsp
Cheese cube or slice – 1-2
Olive oil or cooking oil – 1 tbsp
Salt – to taste
Boil pasta as per packet instructions. Drain it and keep aside.
For making tomato puree
Give four cut around tomato and boil it in water for 2 mins.
Take them in a blender and make smooth puree keep aside.
For making red sauce pasta
Medium heat oil in a non-stick pan or kadai.
Add garlic, immediately add finely chopped onion.
Saute them till onion turn little soft.
Add tomato puree and cook puree till it’s little thick (not much). See pics
Now turn the flame low.
Now add oregano, black pepper powder, tomato ketchup, cheese cube and salt. Stir nicely and mix them well. Aswell maintain the low flame, tomato sauce should not be dry.
Add cooked pasta and mix well. Red sauce pasta is ready.
Serve hot. While serving garnish with grated cheese and little oregano.
Boil enough water and add salt
Boil pasta till it gets cooked
Cut tomato skin around four sides
Boil it in hot water for 2 min
After 2 mins
Cut them and make paste
Medium heat oil and add garlic
Immediately add onion
Saute till onion turn little soft
Add tomato puree
Cook till puree become little thick
Add tomato ketchup
Add cheese and mix well
Add cooked pasta
Mix well and pasta is ready
