Wheat Flour Halwa/Atte Ka Halwa

Atte ka halwa is popular north indian halwa recipe. It is so rich, delicious and nutritious.

Measuring cup used 1 cup = 220 ml
Wheat flour – 3/4 cup
Sugar – 1/2 to 3/4 cup (adjust according to your taste)
Ghee – ½ cup
Milk – ¾ cup
Hot water – 1 cup
Green cardamom/ elaichi powder – ¼ tsp
Badam/almond – 3-4 (long sliced)
In a thick bottom pan or kadai take wheat flour.
Add ghee and milk, mix nicely.
Heat them. Roast and stirring continuously. Keep the flame low to medium to avoid burning.
Roast till wheat flour turn medium brown in color.
Immediately add water and stir well.
When flour absorbs the all water then again stir nicely till halwa turn dry.
Now add sugar and mix well. You can add sugar powder too.
Add cardamom powder and sliced almonds.
Mix well and turn off the flame.
Serve hot or after cooling.
Take wheat flour in a kadai
Mix well and switch on the flame
Keep stirring and roast it over low to medium flame
Roast till flour turn medium brown
Add water, again stir till flour absorbs all water
Add cardamom powder
Garnish with the sliced almonds
