Mushroom and Paneer Masala Recipe
Mushroom and paneer is a delicious combination together. If you like mushoom and paneer then surely you will like this recipe. This mushroom -paneer masala recipe goes well with any chapathi, paratha, puri and dal-rice combo.

Measuring cup used, 1cup = 220 ml
Mushroom – 200 g (cut into slices)
Paneer – 150 g (cut into small cubes)
Onion- 3 medium (finely chopped)
Green chilly – 1 (chopped)
Ginger-garlic – 1 tbsp (crushed or paste)
Tomato – 2 medium (finely chopped)
Kala jeera/shah jeera – ½ tsp
Red chilly powder – 1 tsp
Kashmiri red chilly powder – ¼ tsp (for color)
Turmeric – ½ tsp
Coriander powder – 1 tsp
Garam masala powder – 1 tsp
Malai/cream – 2 tsp (optional)
Cooking oil – 3 tbsp
Salt – as per taste
Coriander leaves – for garnishing
Cut paneer into cubes. Rinse and cut mushroom into slices. Keep aside.
Heat oil in kadai and add shah jeera, let splutter.
Add finely chopped onion and green chilly, saute till translucent.
Add ginger-garlic (paste or crushed ), fry till raw smell goes off.
Add red chilly, kashmiri red chilly, turmeric, coriander and garam masala powder.
Add finely chopped tomato and cook till tomato gets mushy.
Add cream /malai, saute for few seconds.
Add sliced mushroom and salt.
Stir well, cover with the lid and cook mushroom over simmer for about 3 min. (mushroom takes very less time to cook so do not cook more than 3 min)
After 3 min open lid and add paneer cubes mix well. (if you want toss paneer in 1 or 2 tsp of butter and add)
Add coriander leaves, mix and switch off the flame.
If you want to add more flavor add kasuri methi.
If you do not have black jeera add cumin seeds.
If you want this recipe little gravy type add 3-4 tbsp of water.
Cut paneer in cubes and sliced the mushroom
Heat oil, add kala jeera, let splutter
Add finely chopped onion and green chili
Saute till translucent
Add ginger- garlic paste or crushed, fry till raw smell goes off
Add red chilly, turmeric, coriander and garam masala powder, fry once
Add finely chopped tomato
Saute till tomato gets soft
Add cream or malai, stir well
Add mushroom, stir
Put lid and cook mushroom for 2-3 mins over simmer
After 2-3 min
Add paneer cubes, stir well
Add coriander leaves and turn off the flame
Mushroom – paneer masala is ready
