Hot Pepper Chicken (kerala style)

One more spicy and mouthwatry recipe from my kitchen kerala style hot pepper chicken. This recipe I have got from my friend Dipthy, she is from kerala. I like her all recipes and she is a wonderful cook. I hope you like this recipe and let me know how this recipe came for you.
Preparation time – 10 min
Cooking time – 25 min
Recipe type – non-veg starters
Serve – 2-3
Mesurement cup used, 1 cup = 220 ml
Chicken with bone – 750 g (cut into medium sized)
Garlic – 6-7
Ginger – ½ -1 inch
Green chili – 2
Lemon – 1 medium
Salt – as per taste
Onion – 3 medium (sliced)
Green chili – 2 (chopped)
Curry leaves – 2 stems
Black pepper (course powder) – 2 tbsp (if you want add more)
Dry coriander powder – 1 ½ tbsp
Fresh coriander leaves – for garnishing
First wash chicken and drain it nicely.
In a small blender take ginger, garlic, green chili and lemon juice.
Blend them in a course paste.
In bowl take chicken and add course paste and salt.
Mix nicely and refrigerate it for 30 min for marination.
After 30 min heat oil in a kadai.
Add sliced onion, and green chili.
Saute till onion turn translucent.
Add marinated chicken and curry leaves.
Fry for 2-3 minutes over medium flame.
Now put lid and cook chicken over low flame.
In between open the lid and stir chicken. (no adding extra water, chicken will cook in it own juice or water)
Cook till chicken gets 3/4 cooked.
Now keep the flame over high and cook till chicken gets dry. (by the time chicken will be tender and soft)
Again add 1/2 tbsp of black pepper powder, stir well.
Add fresh and chopped coriander leaves, stir and switch off the flame.
Hot pepper chicken is ready.
You can add pepper powder according to your taste.
Wash the chicken and drain it nicely
Take lemon, garlic, ginger and lemon, blend them in coarse paste
Add this coarse paste and salt to the chicken, mix well and keep it
Heat oil and add sliced onion, pinch of salt and green chilies, saute till onion turns translucent
Add dry coriander powder and black pepper powder, stir well
Add marinated chicken and curry leaves
Fry chicken for 2-3 min over medium flame
Put the lid and cook chicken over low medium flame
When chicken gets 3/4 cooked keep the flame at high
Cook till chicken water gets dry, by the time chicken will be tender and soft
Add 1/2 tbsp of black pepper powder, stir well
Add fresh coriander leaves, stir and switch off the flame
Hot pepper chicken is ready
