Mesurements cup used, 1 cup = 220 ml
For Filling

Paneer/cottage cheese – 150 g or 1 cup (cut into small cubes)

Capsicum/shimlamirch – 2 medium (cut into small square)

Onion – 2 medium or 1 big (cut into slices)

Ginger – 1 inch (paste or crushed)

Garlic clove – 5-6 (paste or crushed) OR you can use ginger – garlic paste

Kasuri methi – 1 tsp (crushed)

Tandoori masala powder – 1 tbsp (I used home made) OR garam masala powder – 2 tsp

Chaat masala – 1/2 tsp + some more we need while making wrap

Red chili powder – 1-2 tsp

Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp

Curd – 1/2  cup 

Besan/gram flour – 1 tbsp

Oil – as needed

Salt – as per taste

For making chapati

Atta/ whole wheat flour – 1 cup

Milk – ¼ cup

Salt – ¼ tsp

Oil – 2 tsp

Water – for making dough

Maida flour – for dusting

To prepare wrap

Tomato sauce – 2 tbsp

Green chutney – 3-4 tbsp

Chaat masala – as needed



To prepare roti, take 1 cup of  wheat flour in bowl, add salt, 2 tsp oil and water  little by little and knead to smooth soft dough. Dough should not be too soft or hard.

Cover it with a plate for 15 min. By the time you can make paneer stuffing.

For preparing the paneer stuffing, cut 150g of paneer into small or medium cubes, slices 1 big  onion and cut 2 medium  capsicum into square shape. set aside.

In a bowl take 1/2 cup of  curd, 1 tbsp of tandoori masala OR 2 tsp of  garam masala, 1-2 tsp of red chili powder, 1/4 tsp of turmeric, 1/2 tsp chaat masala, 1 inch grated ginger, 4-5 grated garlic , 1 tsp kasuri methi, 1 tbsp besan and salt. mix well.

Add this curd mix to the paneer, onion and capsicum. mix well.

Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a pan.

Place this veggies to the pan and saute it for 3-4 minutes over medium flame, stir in between.

After 3-4 minutes turn off the flame. Keep aside.

Divide the prepared dough into 6 equal sized balls.

take one ball, dust with flour and roll it to thin rotis.

heat a tava or dosa pan.

Place the roti on the tava  and cook till small bubbles appears.

turn it other side and apply some  oil then again turn it and apply some more oil and pour some oil on the sides.

cook till roti turn lightly brown on both the sides.

Now follow same method for making other roties.

To prepare kathi roll

Take one chapati.

Place 1/2  tsp tomato sauce and 1/2  tsp green chutney.

Spread them nice.

Place 2 tbsp prepared paneer – veggies stuffing.

Sprinkle some chaat masala powder.

Give it franky shape. See pics.

If you want roast it on tava then serve or wrap it with pepper towel and serve.




You can add onion and capsicum slices while making wraps.

In Short


Cut paneer and capsicum, slice onion


Take curd, ginger – garlic, kasuri methi, red chilli, turmeric, gram flour, chaat masala, salt and tandoori masala or garam masala powder


mix very well


Add this mix to the veggies


Coat them well with this mix


Heat oil in a pan


Place coated veggies to the pan and saute it for 3-4 minutes over medium and then set aside


Take wheat flour, milk, oil and salt


Mix well


Slowly add water and make soft dough


Devoid it into 6 equal portions


Take one ball, flat it and apply dust flour


Roll it and give chapati shape


Place it to the hot tava


Apply some oil and cook both the sides


Take a chapati


Place tomato sauce and green chutney


Spread them very well


Place prepared paneer – veggies


Spread some chaat masala




Give wrap shape




If you want before serving roast it on tava
