Easy Egg Masala

Measuring cup used, 1cup = 220 ml

Egg – 5-6 (boiled and cut into half)

Onion – 2 medium (chopped)

Ginger – 1/2 inch (grated or paste)

Garlic Clove(big) – 3-4 (grated or paste)

Tomato -– 1 medium (chopped)

Cumin/jeera powder – ½ tsp

Red chilly – 1 tsp

Turmeric – ½ tsp

Coriander powder – 1 tsp

Garam masala – ½ tsp

Water – ½ – 1 cup

Salt – as per taste

Oil\ – 3-4 tbsp



Boiled the eggs, peel and cut into half. Set aside.

Heat oil in a kadai or pan.

Place chopped onion and saute it till translucent.

Add ginger and garlic, fry it till raw smell goes off.

Add chopped tomato, turmeric, red chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder,garam masala and salt.

Saute till oil saparets from the masala.

Turn off the flame.

Now take this masala in a blender and blend till smooth, if needed add some water.

Again place this blended paste to the kadai and turn on the flame.

Add ½ to ¾ cup of water and bring it to boil.

Boil at simmer for a minute.

Add eggs and chopped coriander leaves, stir once.

Turn off the flame.

Serve this curry with chapati, rice or paratha.

In Short


Boil the egg, remove it’s skin and cut into half


Heat oil


Place chopped onion, saute till translucent


Add ginger and garlic, saute till raw smell goes off


Add chopped tomato, red chilli, coriander, turmeric, cumin powder,  garam masala and salt


Fry till oil separates from the masala


Let it cool for some time and then take it in a blender, blend  till smooth


Place this paste to the kadai and heat it up


Add water


Bring it to boil and then simmer the flame, wait for a minute


Add eggs, stir slowly


Add chopped coriander, stir


Turn off the flame


Easy egg masala is ready
