Eggless Malai Cake

Date – 11.6.2016  



Preparation Time – 15 mins

Baking time – 30-35 mins

Recipe Type – Sweet/dessert 




 Measurement cup used 1 cup = 220 ml

 Maida / APF – 1 cup

Malai – ½ cup (I have used homemade)

Sugar – 1/2 cup (make powder)

Baking soda – ¼ tsp

Baking powder – 1 tsp

Milk – ½ cup

Vanilla essence – 1 tsp


Method ;

 Preheat the oven at 180 C for 5 mins.

Grease the cake mould and spread little maida into it. Keep aside.

Combine the maida, baking soda and baking powder.

Sieve 1-2 times and keep aside.

In a mixing bowl take sugar and malai.

Whisk well for 3-4 mins or till they form very smooth paste.

Add vanilla essence and milk mix well.

Add maida mixture gradually and keep folding.

The mixture should be pouring consistency.

Now pour this mixture to the greased mould.

Bake it in oven or in cooker for 30-35 mins.

Unmold the cake after 20-30 mins.

Serve warm or when it is cool down.


Tips ;

Use fresh ingredients for making cake.

Always use powdered sugar for making cake.

All the ingredients should be in room temperature.


In Short ;

Pure cake mix and bake it in preheated oven for 30-35 min at 180 C


 Cake is ready


Unmold it after 20-30 mins and serve hot or cool

      Thanks Sandhya for visiting my site. And to get home made malai take 2 litter full fat or buffalo milk bring it to boil and then simmer the flame. let milk boil in in simmer for 4-5 minutes, turn of the flame.
      When the milk cool down completely by it own keep it in refrigerator for 4-5 hour or over night. after 4-5 hours or over night the upper layer of milk is thick, this called malai take it out with your hands. please try and share your feed back with us.
