Mix Veggie Rava Toast / Suji Toast

About Recipe

 Mix veggie Suji or rava toast is an healthy and tasty breakfast idea.  If you do not want to add vegetables  just skip them. If you are making for kids add grated cheese or paneer.




Preparation Time –10 mins

Resting time – 15 minutes

Cooking time –  15 mins

Recipe type –  Breakfast / lunchbox





Measurement cup used 1 cup = 240 ml


Suji/rava – ½ cup

Bread slices (white or brown) – 8

Curd – ½ cup

Onion – 1 medium (finely chopped)

Green chili – 1 finely chopped

Carrot – 2 tbsp (grated)

Cabbage – 3-4 tbsp (grated or finely chopped)

Coriander leaves – 1 tbsp (finely chopped)

Pepper powder – ¼ tsp

Salt – as per taste

Water – 1/4 tsp

Ghee or melted butter or oil for applying – as needed

Note – if you like add finely chopped capsicum and tomato.



Method ;


In a mixing bowl take curd and rava, mix very well. And set aside for 15 minutes.

By the time  grate carrot, finely chop onion, cabbage, green chili and coriander leaves.

After 15 minutes mix all these veggies to the rava and curd batter. Add salt, pepper powder and water.

Give a nice mix.

Now take a bread slice and apply 1 – 1 ½ tbsp of rava batter to the one side of the bread.

Heat non – stick tava or pan, apply ½ tsp of ghee or butter or oil.

Place the bread slice and first cook rava side.

With the help of spatula press the bread lightly and cook over low – medium flame.

After 2-3 minutes when rava cooked nicely turn the bread other side  and apply some more ghee or butter or oil. 

Cook the bread from both the sides till golden brown.

Follow same method for other bread slices.

Serve this tasty and healthy rava toast with tomato sauce or green chutney.


 Tips ;

 To make it more tasty add grated cheese or grated paneer.

 Maintain low-medium heat for making this toast otherwise rava will not get cooked.


In Short ;


In a mixing bowl take rava and curd


Mix well and set aside for 15 minutes


Chop vegetables


After 15 minutes add to the rava – curd batter


Apply the mixture  to the bread slice


Now heat the non – stick pan and place bread slice and apply some ghee or oil, with the help of spatula press it gently so that it will cook well


Cook from both the sides


Vegetable suji toast is ready
