Healthy And Easy Egg Roll Recipe

Easy  egg roll is healthy breakfast idea for your family. You can also pack it in you tiffin box or in kids lunch box i am sure they will love it. For making this egg roll even you can use left over chapatis. So  here the recipe, please give it a try and share your feed back.

Preparation time – 15 mins

Cooking time – 30 mins

Recipe type –  Breakfast/ tiffin

Serve – 8 no



Measurement cup used 1 cup = 240 ml

Egg – 5-6

Onion – 1 medium – big, finely chopped

Cabbage – 2-3 tbsp, finely chopped

Tomato – 1 medium, finely chopped

Coriander leaves – 2 tbsp, finely chopped

Red chili powder – ¼ – ½ tsp

Black pepper powder/ kalimirch – ¼ tsp OR green chili – 1 finely chopped

Wheat flour – 1 ½ cup (for making dough) + for the dusting

Water – as needed

Oil or butter or ghee – for applying

Salt – s per tast




First for making dough take wheat flour in a vessel, add salt then slowly add water and knead soft dough or you can also use chapati dough. then set aside till we need. (if u want add milk and oil  to get very soft dough but  I didn’t)

First break all the eggs in a bowl and whisk well.

Now add chopped onion, finely chopped cabbage, finely chopped tomato, red chili powder, black pepper powder, chopped green coriander and salt. Mix nicely and set aside.

Devoid the dough into eight to nine equal parts.

Take one dough ball, apply some dust flour and  with the help of rolling pin roll it like a chapati (thin or medium thick).

Heat tava and place this prepared chapati then cook little both the sides. Take it out and follow the same method for other chapatis as well.

Now heat non – stick tava or thick iron tava .  Apply some oil and pour one medium ladle of the egg mix that we made.

Place one chapati on the top of the egg mix and prees gently with your hand or spatula.

Pour some oil on the sides and top of the chapati. When the chapati is cooked from one side flip it other side and cook until it is little crispy.

Take it out, immediately spread some tomato sauce. Cut it from the meddle and serve.



You can also use left  over chapatis for making egg roll.


In Short


Break eggs to the bowl


Whisk well


Add finely chopped onion, tomato and cabbage


Add red chili powder, black pepper powder, chopped coriander and salt (you can add finely chopped green chili too)


Mix very well and set aside


Take wheat flour in a bowl


Add salt


Slowly add water and make chapati dough


Devoid this dough into 8-9 equal parts


Take one dough ball and roll like thin or medium thick chapati


Heat tava and when the tava is hot place this rolled chapati


When it gets cooked from one side flip it other side


Cook both the sides and take it out from the tava  (follow this same method for other chapatis)


Heat non – stick tava or thick iron tava then apply oil


Pour 1 medium ladle egg mix that we made (maintain low – medium heat)


Immediatly place one prepared chapati on the top of the egg mix and press it gently with flat spatula or hand


Pour oil on the sides and top of the chapati


When the roll cooked from one side flip it other side and cook for some time until it’s little crispy


Take it out


When the egg roll is hot spread some tomato sauce


Roll it with the hands, cut it from the middle and serve
