Paneer Bhurji

About Recipe

Paneer bhurji is one of the easiest paneer recipe. It takes less efforts and time to make. Here I am telling you plain paneer bhuji recipe but for variations you can  add finely chopped  vegetables.  This dish you can have with roti, paratha, puri or fill it between two breads and make sandwich or you can have it as breakfast. So here is the recipe.

Preparation time – 10 mins

Cooking time – 15 mins

Recipe type –  side dish

Ingredients

Measurement cup used 1 cup = 240 ml

Paneer / cottage cheese – 250 g

Cumin / jeera – ½ tsp

Onion – 1 medium to big, chopped

Garlic clove – 5-6, grated or crushed

Ginger – ½ inch, grated or crushed

Tomato – 1 medium, chopped

Red chili powder – ½ tsp (as per taste)

Coriander powder – ½ tsp

Turmeric powder – ½ tsp

Garam masala powder – ½ tsp

Kasuri methi – ½ tsp

Salt – as per taste

Oil or butter or ghee –  2 tbsp

   Method

Crumble or grate the paneer and set aside. Prepare other ingredients and set aside.

Heat oil in a kadai or pan.

Add cumin / jeera (here you can add 1 bay leaf too), allow it to creckle.

Add ginger – garlic (crushed or grated), fry for few seconds.

Add finely chopped onion and green chilie, saute till light brown in color.

Add chopped tomato, stir.

Add red chili, turmeric, coriander, garam masala powder and salt.

Add kasuri methi as well. Stir nicely and cook until tomato gets mushy or for a minute. 

Add paneer, stir and cook for 2 more minutes over low – medium heat, stir in between.

Finally add chopped coriander leaves, stir and turn off the flame.

Serve the Paneer bhurji with chapati, paratha, puri or fill it between breads and make sandwich. Or you can have it in breakfast.

Saute  the masala for a minutes

Add paneer

Cook for 2more minutes, stir inbetween

Add chopped coriander, stir and turn off the flame
