Healthy Maggi / Desi Style Maggi / Vegetable Maggi

Your kids like maggi but you do not want to feed them because it is unhealthy so make it healthy by adding veggies in it. Just chop vegetables and cook them with spices and salt then add cooked maggi in it and healthy maggi is ready. I am using very less spices in it but you can add other spices according to your choice and taste. Try this desi style maggi i hope you will love it.

Measurement cup used 1 cup – 240 ml
Onion – 1, medium – big, sliced
Capsicum / shimlamirch – 1, big, sliced
Tomato – 1 medium, sliced
Carrot / gajar – 1, medium – big, half circle sliced
Green peas / matar – 2-3 tbsp
Maggi with its masala– 2 packets
Garam masala – ½ tsp
Cumin / jeera – ½ tsp
Mustard seeds – ½ tsp
Water – for cooking maggi
Oil – 1 tbsp
First cook the maggi in water according to packet instructions. One think insures that after cooking, maggi should be little watery but not dry, so add lttle extra water while cooking.
Meanwhile heat oil in a kadai. Add onion, saute for few seconds. Do not brown or translucent it.
Then add carrot and green peas, saute for a minute over medium flame.
Add sliced capsicum and sliced tomato, on the top add garam masala and salt. Cook till tomato gets mushy or little soft, as you want.
Finally add cooked maggi (it should be little watery), cook for one more minute and healthy maggi is ready.
Serve it hot with tomato sauce or you can eat it plain as well.
Insure that you are adding little extra water while cooking maggi.

Meanwhile heat 1 tbsp of oil
Add 1/2 tsp each cumin and mustard, allow them to crackle
Add Sliced onion then saute it for few seconds, do not brown or translucent it
Add carrot and peas
Saute for a minute over medium heat
Add capsicum and tomato
Add salt and garam masala, cook until tomato gets little soft or mushy, as you want
Add cooked maggi
Stir and wait for a minutes
Healthy maggi is ready
